ROCK / METAL PRODUCER & MIXER · MONTRÉAL + REMOTE

You know there’s more in this song.

I help artists turn ideas, demos, or songs that have hit a wall into powerful, modern productions that stay true to their identity — in Montréal or remotely.

WHAT I BRING TO THE SONG

Find the direction

Before I look for the right sound, I want to understand where the song needs to go — what it should make people feel, what’s already working, and what’s still holding it back.

Make the choices that matter

Arrangement, dynamics, textures, contrast, tone… I focus on the decisions that have a real impact on the song, rather than adding things just for the sake of it.

Protect your identity

I’m here to bring ideas, challenge you, and give perspective — not replace your vision with mine. The song should come out stronger, more cohesive and more fully realized, without losing what makes it yours.

The goal isn’t to make your song my way. It’s to bring out the best version of yours.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

From the first conversation to the final song.

The process adapts to the project. The thread stays the same: understand the intention, make the right decisions, move forward together, and finish the song without losing its identity.

PROJECT

Understand what you’re building

We start with the song, its context, and what you want to defend. Demo, references, ambitions: first I want to understand where you want to take it.

DIRECTION

Decide where the song needs to go

We clarify the intention, references, and priorities. Before chasing the right sound, we know what we want people to feel and what really matters.

BUILD

Step in where it changes the song

Arrangement, production, recording, textures, dynamics, tone: I step in where the project needs it, rather than following a fixed package or recipe.

COLLABORATION

Move forward together, even remotely

In Montréal or remotely, sessions can happen in real time with screen sharing and high-quality audio. You stay involved in the decisions as the song takes shape.

FINALIZATION

Take it all the way without losing what matters

Mix, revisions, and delivery: we refine until the song is cohesive, impactful, and ready to release, without smoothing out what gives it character.

This isn’t a tunnel where you send me tracks and wait for a result. Collaboration is part of the process.

CLIENT FEEDBACK

The result matters. So does how you get there.

Beyond the final sound, what artists remember is the collaboration, the decisions made together, and the feeling of taking the song all the way without losing its identity.

HIPSKOR · REMOTE COLLABORATION

“Working live over Discord with screen sharing saved us time and made it much easier to find the mix we were looking for.”

FAITH IN FACES · TRANSFORMATION

“The tracks we sent ended up feeling almost like demos compared to the dimension Anthony brought to the songs.”

ABOUT

I’ve been on the other side of the glass, too.

Before helping other artists build their records, I started by building my own.

I’m Anthony Chognard, a producer and mixer based in Montréal. I’ve been a musician since 2006, and I know the rehearsals, sessions, stages, tours, and decisions that happen long before a mix session opens.

That experience inevitably shapes the way I work. I know what it means to hand a song you care about to someone else — so I bring perspective without taking away what makes it personal.

RIGHT FIT

You have something to defend.

I’m not looking for perfect projects. I’m looking for artists who have something to say — and the drive to take it all the way.

Something worth defending

The song needs to say something or make you feel something.

Ambition for the project

Band size doesn’t matter. You need to want to push the song further.

Open to ideas

Test things, challenge choices, and sometimes change direction if the song gets better.

Trust in the process

I can bring perspective and ideas, but we build it together.

The drive to take it further

Not necessarily to get “bigger.” To make it truer, stronger, and more fully realized.

YOUR PROJECT

You feel like your song can go further?

Send me a demo and tell me where you want to take it. We’ll look at what’s missing, what really matters — and whether I’m the right person to help you take it further.

FIRST CONVERSATION

Tell me about your project.

You don’t need a perfect brief. Just give me enough context to understand the song, where you’re at, and where you want to take it.

We’ll talk budget together during the first conversation if the project feels like a good fit.
